This is one of the classic original scenarios of the game, and allows a great variety of strategies, enabling victory for either side.

The Russians attack in massive force across the Dnepr River in an attempt to recapture the town of Kanev, which is out of view in the Southeastern part of the map.

The German garrisons in the whole area are thin and can not hold against the initial onslaught. 

However, rapid reinforcements restore German presence in the theater, and with the help of easily established air supremacy they are in good position to repel this counter attack by the Russians.
